Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements, and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
A pre-race sample was taken from Louie Too Good.
Get On Beers was slow to begin. Ridge checked off Flywheel Cracker approaching the first turn. Dr. Archer and Flywheel Cracker collided on the first turn checking Get On Beers, Ridge and Dr. Lexie severely checking Dr. Archer. Flywheel Cracker and Louie Too Good collided on the first turn checking Flywheel Cracker. Get On Beers and Dr. Lexie collided on the first turn. Flywheel Cracker and Ridge collided entering the home straight checking Ridge. Wally Hook crossed out in the home straight and marred Write About Her severely checking Write About Her.
Louie Too Good underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to show symptoms of cramp in the catching pen. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Wally Hook underwent a post-race veterinary examination. No apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Galea, the trainer of Wally Hook regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Wally Hook was charged with marring. Mr. Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Wally Hook was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Samuel Bye regarding the racing manners of Flywheel Cracker in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Bye, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.
