Steward's Report
Aston Percival and Sophia Grove were slow to begin. Sophia Grove pulled up approaching the first turn. Klimenko, Miss Angel Di and Avery Charm collided on the first turn checking Miss Angel Di and Avery Charm. Red Nangana and Avery Charm collided on the first turn.
Sophia Grove underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. J. Bowman regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sophia Grove was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Bowman pleaded guilty to the charge, Sophia Grove was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nominations will be accepted.
There was no head on vision in the back straight for this event.
