A pre-race sample was taken from Red Hot Lady.
Crackerjack Ty's was slow to begin.
Fernando's Flare and Red Hot Lady collided on the first turn checking Miss Winks. Fernando's Flare checked off Silver Destroyer on the home turn. Fernando's Flare and Miss Winks collided in the home straight. Miss Winks and Silver Destroyer collided in the home straight.
Miss Winks underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Steven Chircop regarding the racing manners in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Chircop, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
