Black Hawk Jet and Pass It On were slow to begin.
Aston Vogue and Ranako Bale collided soon after the start. Pass It On, Ranako Bale and Westar Misty collided approaching the first turn; checking Aston Vogue and Black Hawk Jet. Ranako Bale, Westar Misty and Pass It On collided on the first turn; checking Westar Misty and Pass It On. Aston Vogue and Black Hawk Jet collided approaching the home turn. Pass It On veered out and collided with Westar Misty approaching the home turn. Pass It On failed to pursue the lure with due commitment from approaching the home turn to the winning post; colliding several times with Westar Misty and resulting in Westar Misty being severely checked.
Post Office Girl underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Pass It On under went a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left hindleg foot, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr D Donolly, the handler of Pass It On regarding the greyhound's racing manners from approaching the home turn to the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B(1), Pass It On was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Donolly pleaded guilty to the charge, Pass It On was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B(1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Invictus Ethan - the winner of the event.
