My Wanderer was slow to begin.

Waldemar Bale and Killashandra collided on the first turn checking Waldemar, Pabbie Bale and severely checking My Wanderer. Unathi Bale raced wide and  faltered on the home turn.

Unathi Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Oscar Octopus was a late scratching at 6.21 pm by order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented.  At a subsequent inquiry, the Stewards charged Mr D. Fisher with a breach of GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr Fisher pleaded guilty and was found guilty of the charge and was fined $250.  The 28 days stand-down on Oscar Octopus was revoked.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Lanigan, trainer of On The Bit, regarding a significant early market move on fixed odds betting for the greyhound. Mr Lanigan stated that he did not support the greyhound in tonight's event. Stewards noted his comments and will refer the matter to GRV's betting analyist for further review.  

Agnet Bale was quick to begin. On The Bit and Flying Miss were slow to begin.

Supplementary Report: The GRV Betting & Racing Analyst reviewed the wagering records in conjunction with the outcome of the race and has no concerns. The urine sample taken has been cleared. As such, the matter has been finalised.

Lala Juniper checked off Ranako Bale approaching the home turn. Ranako Bale checked off Roxy Tequila in the home straight.

Dalisha Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have Thumps. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S Coulson, the handler of Dalisha Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Dalisha Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Dalisha Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Barellen Pearl and Gunai Rebel collided soon after the start. Pai Gow Poker and Dr. Mick collided approaching the first turn. Euchre John and Royal Gossip collided approaching the first turn. Euchre John checked off Royal Gossip on the first turn. Pai Gow Poker, Dr. Mick, Royal Gossip and Barellen Pearl collided on the first turn. Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Andrighetto regarding the racing manners of Natural Cruiser in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr. Andrighetto, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Speed Star and Noonbarra Jack were slow to begin.

Zoe's Intention and Noonbarra Jack collided soon after the start. Sizzlin' Sanchez and Flash Angel collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Flash Angel checked off Magic Lantern on the first turn. Magic Lantern checked off Noonbarra Jack in the home straight.
