Aston Anita and Saint Phoenix were quick to begin.
Aston Anita, Saint Phoenix, Zipping Brax and Princess Milne collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Anita, Saint Phoenix and Aston Active. Aston Anita and Saint Phoenix collided on the first turn checking Aston Anita. Princess Milne and Percy's Princess collided on the home turn checking Princess Milne. Jagetti Bale and Percy's Princedd collided entering the home straight. Jagetti Bale turned it's head inwards towards Percy's Princess entering the home straight. Jagetti Bale and Percy's Princess collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.
Jagetti Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Shaun Coulson, the handler of Jagetti Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Jagetti Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jagetti Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
