Stewards spoke to Mr. Jai Willoughby regarding the performance of Villanova in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Willoughby, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Shaun Coulson, the handler of Jagetti Bale regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Jagetti Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jagetti Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Raquea's Dream checked off Gypsy Cinnamon on the first turn checking Laughed A Lot. Freakish Talent checked off Raquea's Dream approaching the home turn. Raquea's Dream and Laughed A Lot collided on the home turn checking Laughed A Lot. Freakish Talent checked off Laughed A Lot approaching the winning post.
