Steward's Report
All persons attending the venue today carried face masks, observed social distance requirements and maintained room density quotients for the race meeting.
The track curator advised Stewards that the track was medium harrowed on the 2/3/21.
Bush Martini - Late scratching at 7.20am when Mr M. Lanigan reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Arcanine and White Assassin were slow to begin.
White Assassin checked off Tom The Cheap soon after the start. Tom The Cheap and Argyle Audrey collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Off It's Chops and Ishmy Neecy collided entering the front straight checking Off It's Chops. Tom The Cheap checked off Off It's Chops on the first turn and again on the second turn. White Assassin, Arcanine and Off It's Chops in the back straight. White Assassin, Tom The Cheap and Off It's Chops collided in the back straight. White Assassin, Tom The Cheap and Argyle Audrey collided approaching the third turn causing White Assassin to fall. Arcanine checked off Off It's Chops approaching the third turn. Tom The Cheap and Ishmy Neecy collided on the home turn.
White Assassin underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left pectoral muscle, left triangle muscle and right hamstring. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Real Reward - the winner of the event.
