Steward's Report
Star Blazer, Natsu Bale and Reiko Martini collided soon after the start. Star Blazer, Radek Bale, Phantom Call and New Punchline collided on the first turn checking New Punchline, Phantom Call and Radek Bale. Natsu Bale and Paint Peeler collided entering the front straight. Star Blazer and Phantom Call collided on the second turn. Radek Bale raced wide and visibly eased on the third turn. Radek Bale and Phantom Call collided in the back straight checking Phantom Call. Paint Peeler checked off Knicks Bale on the fourth turn. Natsu Bale and Phantom Call collided in the home straight causing Natsu Bale to become unbalanced.
Natsu Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle, left pectoral muscle and left calf muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Vincent Daffy regarding the racing manners of Natsu Bale in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Daffy, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.
Radek Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have bruising to the right hock. No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to the Trainer, Mrs Andrea Daily regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Radek Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Daily pleaded not guilty to the charge, Radek was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
