Flash Opal and Dr. Xander collided approaching the first turn. Texas Metal contacted the running rail on the first turn. Dr. Serenity and Desert Flame collided on the first turn severely checking Desert Flame, checking Flash Opal. Desert Flame and Flash Opal collided approaching the home turn.
Texas Metal underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind leg. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
