Crackerjack Phil – Late scratching at 17.39 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right hind toe abrasion. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Toby Where's Dad was slow to begin.
Pyrenees Pegasus checked off Texas Metal on the first turn, colliding with Chloe Exotic. Toby Where's Dad checked off Chloe Exotic on the first turn. Max Mccartin checked off Pyrenees Pegasus on the first turn. Pyrenees Pegasus and Chloe Exotic collided approaching the home turn. Toby Where's Dad shifted out approaching the home turn, colliding with Texas Metal and Max Mccartin, causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Pyrenees Pegasus and Chloe Exotic collided on the home turn checking Chloe Exotic and Ruby Arizona.
At the conclusion of race 5, the outside temperature was 21.5 degrees; as a result the stewards lifted the requirements of the Hot Weather Policy for the remainder of this meeting.
