All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the Kennel Block and Associated Buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

In accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'. At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 26.8 degrees, and the kennel temperature was 19.7 degrees. The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 10 minutes due to mechanical issues with the lure.

Harden was slow to begin.

She's Invincible and Two Up Tommy collided several times approaching the first turn checking Two Up Tommy. Harden raced wide on the home turn. Two Up Tommy checked off She's Invincible in the home straight.

Holly's Delight underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Slingshot Yang - Late scratching at 6.20pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to coughing.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

The start of this event was rescheduled to begin at 7.23pm.

Windburn was quick to begin.

Killer Miss and Shivering Stone collided soon after the start. Tommy Cawbourne and Shivering Stone collided approaching the first turn. Windburn checked off Ice Star approaching the first turn. Windburn and Killer Miss collided on the first turn checking Killer Miss. Shivering Stone and Rich Con collided on the home turn.

A sample was taken from Ice Star - the winner of the event.

Pyrenees Spirit and Miss Marley were slow to begin.

Chachi Arcola checked off Mt. View Emma on the first turn. Take A Daisy checked off Zen Mistress entering the home straight. Zen Mistress and Mt. View Emma collided approaching the winning post.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tiramisu For You.

Empire Lad, Triamisu For You, Cuteness, Cool And Deadly and Tears I'm Here collided on the first turn checking Empire Lad, Triamisu For You, Cuteness and Tears I'm Here. Cool And Deadly visibly eased on the second turn colliding with Empire Lad.

Cool And Deadly underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind leg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr B. Stirling regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Cool And Deadly was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Stirling pleaded guilty to the charge, Cool And Deadly was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crackerjack Phil – Late scratching at 17.39 on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to right hind toe abrasion. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. 

Toby Where's Dad was slow to begin.

Pyrenees Pegasus checked off Texas Metal on the first turn, colliding with Chloe Exotic. Toby Where's Dad checked off Chloe Exotic on the first turn. Max Mccartin checked off Pyrenees Pegasus on the first turn. Pyrenees Pegasus and Chloe Exotic collided approaching the home turn. Toby Where's Dad shifted out approaching the home turn, colliding with Texas Metal and Max Mccartin, causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Pyrenees Pegasus and Chloe Exotic collided on the home turn checking Chloe Exotic and Ruby Arizona.

At the conclusion of race 5, the outside temperature was 21.5 degrees; as a result the stewards lifted the requirements of the Hot Weather Policy for the remainder of this meeting.

Meatball Soup was quick to begin.

Tiggerlong Ginga and Take A Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Tiggerlong Ginga.

A pre-race sample was taken from Silver Bronx.

Silver Bronx faltered and lost ground on the first turn. Cash No Credit and Brindle Fire collided on the first turn. Brindle Fire checked off Mt. View Dodger on the first turn.

Silver Bronx underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 9. Silver Bronx was found to have a spike wound to the left hind and a right wrist injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Barbados Dream was quick to begin.

Titanium Lad and Sports Gairn collided soon after the start and again on the first turn.

Amber Mahogany was slow to begin.

Mt. View Ginger and Kraken Tyson collided soon after the start checking Kraken Tyson. Coconino and Classy Edition collided on the first turn checking Coconino. Kraken Tyson turned his head outwards and collided with Classy Edition entering the home straight.

Coconino underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions below the right eye. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. McCullagh regarding the racing manners of Coconino approaching the winning post. After hearing evidence from Mr McCullagh, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.

Kraken Tyson underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the front right dew claw and a laceration to the outside aspect on the fight foreleg, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr B. Merton regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Kraken Tyson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Merton pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Tyson was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Butter Puddin – Late scratching at 18.16 on the advice of the On– Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to dehydration. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Inga Assult raced wide on the home turn.

Pete Cabang and Take A Sunflower were slow to begin.

Pete Cabang, Take A Sunflower and Bad Bailey collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Pete Cabang raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Guinness Banshee.

Double Tactic checked off Sin Rap Blue soon after the start. Double Tactic and Black Garnet collided approaching the first turn. Guinness Banshee faltered approaching the first turn, lost ground and tailed off as a result. Clark Road checked off My Mascara approaching the home turn.

Guinness Banshee underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
