All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated building and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

In accodance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, this meeting was deemed 'Heat Affected'.  At the commencement of kennelling, the outside temperature was 28.8 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18 degrees.  The Stewards continually monitored the temperature at the venue as per the GRV Hot Weather Policy.

Two Pars and Taylor's Jewels were quick to begin.  Jimmy Maker and Captain Warrior were slow to begin.  Sorell and Zardora collided approaching the first turn.  Two Pars checked off Taylor's Jewel on the first turn.  Sorell, Zardora and Dr. Francisco collided on the first turn severely checking Sorell and Zardora.  Two Pars and Meg Rose collided on the home turn.

This event was hand timed.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Indy's Happy, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Lonesome Yoda was slow to begin and lost ground.  Into The River and Hello Lovely collided soon after the start.  Into The River, Audacious Flame, Hello Lovely and Marco collided on the first turn checking Marco and Hello Lovely.  Lonesome Yoda faltered on the first turn.  Hello Lovely checked off Marco approaching the home turn.

Marco underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Lonesome Yoda underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 4.  Lonesome Yoda was found to have a right monkey muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Fogarty, the trainer of Lonesome Yoda regarding it's performance in this event.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Lonesome Yoda must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dr. Collette - Late scratching at 15:18 after a confimed phone call by Stewards to  Representative Ms. J. McMahon who reported the greyhound to have an illness.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future  nomination will be accepted.

Bigsy and Connor Man were slow to begin.  Give Me Elle and Barwidgi collided approaching the first turn checking Give Me Elle.  Barwidgi and Dr. Santiago collided on the first turn.  Going Alright, Give Me Elle and Connor Man collided on the first turn checking Going Alright severely checking Connor Man.  Bigsy checked off Barwidgi  approaching the home turn.  Going Alright, Give Me Elle and Bigsy collided on the home turn.  Going Alright and Bigsy collided in the home straight.

Prime Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Liquid Fire underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Maxwell and Got Girl collided soon after the start.  Duke Orf Airly checked off Layback Cruiser soon after the start.  Got Girl galloped on Camulos approaching the first turn checking Bangor Sophia and Bomber's Wonder severely checking Camulos causing Layback Cruiser to fall.  Bangor Sophia and Bomber's Wonder collided approaching the home turn.  Bangor Sophia checked off Bomber's Wonder on the home turn severely checking Camulos.

Layback Cruiser underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

A post-race sample was taken from Maxwell - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to the Catcher of Lockwood Lad, Mr. K. Holland and reminded him of his responsibilities when catching a greyhound.
