All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated building and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Aston Crystal was quick to begin.

Ring A Ranger crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Aston Alpha.  Bear's Dream, Double Dipping, Aston Oriental and Call Me Snooze collided soon after the start.  Bear's Dream and Call Me Snooze collided approaching the first turn checking Bear's Dream, causing Aston Oriental to check off Bear's Dream checking Double Dipping and severely checking Bear's Dream.  Dundee Ember and Ring A Ranger collided on the first turn.  Aston Alpha checked off Dundee Ember on the first turn causing Aston Alpha and Call Me Snooze to collide checking Double Dipping, severely checking Aston Oriental and Aston Alpha, Call Me Snooze fell as a result.  

Bear's Dream underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Aston Alpha underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain and left hind toe injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Call Me Snooze underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. B. Pursell and catcher Mrs. C. Brinsley following the event as Call Me Snooze did not have a designated catcher.  After considering the evidence provided Mrs. Brinsley was issued with a warning in that she was negligent in not fulfilling her catching obligation (GAR86(o)). In arriving at a penalty Stewards considered Mrs. Brinsley recent record for this offence and her frequency of organizing and catching greyhounds.

Ivy Isobel and Taiepa collided soon after the start.  Head On Bonnie and Reality Lad collided soon after the start checking Reality Lad.  Weblec Rebel and Taiepa collided approaching the first turn.  Head On Bonnie and Bonnie Goes Bang collided approaching the first turn.  Golden Skyrocket checked off Ivy Isobel on the first turn checking Bonnie Goes Bang.  Head On Bonnie checked off Golden Skyrocket in the back straight.  Taiepa and Ivy Isobel collided on the third turn checking Ivy Isobel.

Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr G. Clifton regarding Golden Skyrocket pulling up abruptly shortly after the winning post, turning around and running back down the home straight. Mr Clifton was advised that a reoccurrence of such behaviour would result in Golden Skyrocket having to complete a satisfactory trial into the catching pen. Stewards have concerns that the racing manners of Golden Skyrocket could impact the safety of other greyhounds and Club Staff.

Zambora Smokey and Fortuna Bale collided soon after the start.  Belle Ali and Fabriola Zad collided in the front straight.  Kilpatrick, I'm Not Budging, Belle Ali, Fabriola Zad and Zambora Smokey collided approaching the first turn checking I'm Not Budging, Belle Ali and Fabriola Zad.  I'm Not Budging checked off Belle Ali on the first turn.  Kilpatrick and Zambora Smokey collided on the first turn. Zambora Smokey raced awkwardly on the first turn and lost ground. Belle Ali checked off Fabriola Zad approaching the second turn.  Fabriola Zad and Zambora Smokey collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  

Carry On Angel and Opal Rocks collided soon after the start.  Sudden Force checked off Leyenda in the front straight.  He Shall Rodger checked off Leyenda approaching the first turn.  He Shall Rodger and Sudden Force collided approaching the first turn.  Carry On Angel and Opal Rocks collided approaching the first turn.  Jax Bale crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Surella Bale and Leyenda.  Carry On Angel checked off Leyenda entering the back straight.  He Shall Rodger, Carry On Angel and Opal Rocks collided on the third turn.  Leyenda and Surella Bale collided entering the home straight.  

Motor City Tiger was slow to begin.

Shall She Charm and Pilbara collided approaching the first turn checking Pilbara.  Shall She Charm and Lunar Star collided in the front straight.  My Father's Son and Motor City Tiger collided entering the home straight.  Shamrock Boy and Aston Kipchoge collided entering the home straight.

Shy But Savage underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist sprain.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. Mathew Tabb regarding the racing manners in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Tabb, viewing the inconclusive footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued.
