Steward's Report
Strike Two, Mussa Jack and Prince Nangana were slow to begin. Big Tango, Dundee Zircon and Paetta Bale collided approaching the first turn. Big Tango, Paetta Bale and Prince Nangana collided on the first turn. Strike Two and Dundee Zircon collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Big Tango marred Prince Nangana approaching the winning post.
Big Tango underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Cortese, the trainer of Big Tango regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Big Tango was charged with marring. Mr. Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, Big Tango was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Mussa Jack - the winner of the event.
There was no head on vision in the back straight for this event.
