A pre-race sample was taken from Waikerie Bandit.
Trinity Blue went up with the lids and was slow to begin.
Iceni Jinx and Weblec Pearl collided soon after the start. Waikerie Bandit and Our Girl Daisy collided approaching the first turn checking Waikerie Bandit. Waikerie Bandit and Our Girl Daisy collided approaching the first turn; Our Girl Daisy contacted the running rail as a result. Iceni Jinx brushed the running rail on the first turn. Trinity Blue and Waikerie Bandit collided entering the home straight.
Our Girl Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hamstring and left trapezius muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Weblec Pearl - the winner of the event.
