Steward's Report
Rippa Regis - Late scratching at 11.38am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D. Basile informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown enroute to the track. Stewards have advised Mr Basile that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
A pre-race sample was taken from Glayva.
Glayva and Burning Express were quick to begin. Swift Binga was slow to begin.
Run Fast Bonnie and Catch Kate collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Glayva checked off Snap Decision on the first turn. Gunmetal Liam and Run Fast Bonnie collided on the home turn. Swift Binga raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
