Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Summer Siren was quick to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start. Kingy Lights galloped on Summer Siren soon after the start. Summer Siren, Dr. Tobain and Especial Eco collided approaching the first turn. Dr. Tobain and Especial Echo collided in the home straight.

The ALL CLEAR was delayed due to a power outage that occurred immediately after the running of this event. 

Tiggerlong Lucky - Late scratching at 8.43am when Mrs S. Grenfell reported the greyhound to have a hock injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Chaba Charlie - Late scratching at 11.36am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr D. Basile, informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown enroute to the track. Stewards have advised Mr Basile that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted to the satisfaction of Stewards within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. 

Papa Panda was slow to begin.

Lainey Zapper, Iceni Riddler and Lektra Kez collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Galway Lights and Rona Express collided approaching the first turn. Lainey Zapper checked off Lekra Kez on the first turn. Iceni Riddler checked off Lektra Kez on the first turn. Lainey Zapper and Galway Lights collided entering the home straight.

Trinity Blue went up with the lids and was slow to begin. 

Iceni Jinx and Weblec Pearl collided soon after the start. Waikerie Bandit and Our Girl Daisy collided approaching the first turn checking Waikerie Bandit. Waikerie Bandit and Our Girl Daisy collided approaching the first turn; Our Girl Daisy contacted the running rail as a result. Iceni Jinx brushed the running rail on the first turn. Trinity Blue and Waikerie Bandit collided entering the home straight.

Our Girl Daisy underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left hamstring and left trapezius muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Lucky Paws - New declared weight of 33.4kgs, last raced at 34.9kgs.

Acting on a confirmed telephone call, Take A Rose was a late scratching at 9:08 am due to a vehicle breakdown. No stand down penalty was imposed on the greyhound.

Oriental Sugar and Go Natalie Go collided soon after the start. Red Taltarni and Barbados Dream collided soon after the start. Follow The Que – Late scratching at 5.19pm when Mr M. Johnson reported the greyhound to have kennel cough (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Balt was quick to begin. Ted Do went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.
