Aston Adonis visibly eased approaching the first turn.  Major Sacrifice, Kensington Miss and Taiepa collided on the first turn.  Shima Glow and Aston Adonis collided on the first turn checking Shima Glow.  Big Wings checked off Kensington Miss on the second turn.  Big Wings and Nimble Blaze collided on the home turn.  Kensington Miss and Taiepa collided on the first turn.  

Aston Adonis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right foreleg, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr. Dennis Trewin regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Aston Adonis was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Trewin pleaded not guilty to the charge, Aston Adonis was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
