Steward's Report
Mr David Pryse failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Dami Jack for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
Mr Garry Harding failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Wee Fishin' for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).
Dami Jack was slow to begin.
Sarah Beauty turned it's head to the outside soon after the start. Sarah Beauty, Harley Bale, Mt. View Pearl and Holding Hope collided approaching the first turn. Luigi Bale, Fairytale Swank and Harley Bale collided on the first turn checking Luigi Bale and Fairytale Swank. Sarah Beauty and Holding Hope collided entering the home straight and again several times in the home straight.
Sarah Beauty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 3, no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Kevin Tirchett, the Trainer of Sarah Beauty regarding the greyhound’s racing manners soon after the start. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Sarah Beauty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Tirchett pleaded guilty to the charge, Sarah Beauty was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
