A pre-race sample was taken from Pyrenees Steele.
Vice Grip, Graphic Design and Havilah Kid collided soon after the start, checking Graphic Design. Unwanted Lady lost ground approaching the first turn. Graphic Design, Unwanted Lady and Pyrenees Steele collided on the first turn, checking Unwanted Lady.
Unwanted Lady underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg calf and right hindleg thigh muscle injuries. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Vice Grip - the winner of the event.
