A pre-race sample was taken from No Payer.
Stay At Home was slow to begin. Baileys On Ice and Stormcast collided approaching the first turn. Stay At Home checked off Baileys On Ice on the first turn. No Payer, Aston Sylvie, Zipping Valerie and Ikaruga Bale collided on the first turn checking Aston Sylvie, Zipping Valerie and Ikaruga Bale. Baileys On Ice faltered on the first turn and subsequently pulled up. Zipping Valerie and Ikaruga Bale collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Stay At Home and Zipping Valerie collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Baileys On Ice underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind triangle muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
