The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Track curator Mr C. Hiscock advised that the track was medium harrowed, top dressed and graded on Thursday 3rd December.

Mepunga Warrior and Courageous Swan were quick to begin.  Plan Ahead was slow to begin.  Westar Misty, Off It's Chops and Green Blazer collided soon after the start checking Off It's Chops.  Mepunga Warrior and Courageous Swan collided approaching the first turn.  Westar Misty and Green Blazer collided approaching the first turn.  Wedding Or Baby checked off Green Blazer approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Warrior and Courageous Swan collided on the first turn checking Courageous Swan.  Mr. Speaker checked off Green Blazer approaching the second turn and lost ground.  Westar Misty and Green Blazer collided on the third turn and again on the home turn checking Westar Misty.

Mr. Speaker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr J. Formosa,  regarding the racing manners of the greyhound on the first turn.  After hearing evidence from Mr Formosa, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners.

Outstanding News and Moraine Izzy were slow to begin.  Beep Test Baron crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Shima Glow and Flying Lantern.  Shima Glow checked off Beep Test Baron approaching the first turn checking Agent Rocket which brushed the running rail as a result.  Agent Rocket and Outstanding News collided on the first turn.  Shima Glow and Flying Lantern collided approaching the second turn.  Agent Rocket checked off Moraine Izzy in the back straight.  Beep Test Baron, Major Sacrifice and Oh My Word collided approaching the home turn checking Oh My Word and Major Sacrifice.  Outstanding News checked off Beep Test Baron entering the home straight.  Agent Rocket checked off Moraine Izzy in the home straight.

Agent Rocket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Unlawful Assault and La La Oregon were slow to begin.  Galloping Occy and La La Oregon collided approaching the first turn.  Arizona Gold galloped on Xamira Bale approaching the first turn.  Inga Zach checked off Arizona Gold on the first turn checking Unlawful Assault.  Xamira Bale and Irene's A Star collided on the third turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Aston Chandra, Caveman Yap and Lawson Drive were slow to begin.  Callister, Double Supreme and Razor's Edge collided on the first turn.  Caveman Yap and Lawson Drive collided on the first turn causing Lawson Drive to race wide.  Aston Chandra and Callister collided on the third turn checking Callister.  Double Supreme marred Lawson Drive in the home straight.

Double Supreme was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind foot spike wound, no stand down. Stewards spoke to Trainer Tony Tufo regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Double Supreme was charged with marring. Mr Tony Tufo pleaded guilty to the charge, Double Supreme was found guilty and suspended for 3 months all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

An out of competition sample was taken from Tornado Tears on 23 November, pursuant to GAR 79A.

Tornado Tears and Wallbanger were slow to begin.  Blazing Cartier and Wallbanger collided on the first turn.  Wallbanger fell as a result.  Whodat Opal and Mepunga Isla collided entering the front straight.  Whodat Opal and Mepunga Isla collided several times approaching the winning post.

Rock On Jimmy was slow to begin.  Keefe and Pilbara collided on the first turn checking Keefe.  Dark Arrow and I'm Not Budging collided approaching the second turn.  Pilbara, Classy Ethics and Cosmic Sparkle collided approaching the second turn.  Rock On Jimmy checked off Classy Ethics on the second turn.  My Father's Son and Cosmic Sparkle collided on the second turn.  My Father's Son checked off I'm Not Budging on the fourth turn.  Pilbara and My Father's Son collided on the home turn.  Cosmic Sparkle and Classy Ethics collided on the home turn checking Rock On Jimmy.  Keefe checked off Cosmic Sparkle entering the home straight.

Road To Success and Aston Samurai were slow to begin.  Road To Success checked off Who Back There soon after the start.  Tiberia Bale, Who Back There, Charlie Bale and Aston Samurai collided on the first turn checking Lala Phoenix.  Who Back There and Aston Samurai collided on the second turn.  Gypsy Zelda checked off Hadouken on the second turn.  Lala Phoenix and Hadouken collided in the home straight.

Hadouken was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Aston Silk and Lucy's Milo collided soon after the start.  Providence Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Soda Girl and Gypsy Bun.  Fabriola Zad crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Buffet Destroyer and Wild Card.  Wild Card and Fabriola Zad collided on the first turn.

Daph's Ascend underwent a veterinary examination after race 3 in the presence of kennel representative Korie-Lee Heinrich. Dr M. Bell examined the greyhound and subsequently reported that the greyhound was suitable to race.

Daph's Ascend was slow to begin.  Matilda Hook, Nevilla Bale, Astro Boy and Carry On Angel collided soon after the start checking Nevilla Bale and Matilda Hook.  Astro Boy brushed the running rail on the first turn and raced wide.  Carry On Angel checked off Jay Bird on the second turn.  Iago Bale faltered on the second turn and tailed off.  Nevilla Bale and Daph's Ascend collided in the home straight.

Iago Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Astro Boy was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 12.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shin and left wrist, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Handler Mr Josh Formosa was spoken to after he incorrectly re-kennelled his greyhound post-race. The relevant kennel staff were also spoken to with all parties reminded of their responsibility to check the kennel ticket every time a greyhound enters or leaves the kennel bays. 

Rall's Girl was slow to begin.  Big Bash Perna and Pop Rock collided soon after the start.  Big Bash Perna and Rall's Girl collided approaching the first turn.  Rall's Girl and Fabriola Expert collided on the first turn.  Rall's Girl checked off Fabriola Expert on the home turn.  Rall's Girl and Pop Rock collided in the home straight.

Silken and Havilah Kid were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Taltarni Black checked off Mepunga Sparkle approaching the first turn.  Aston Ultra, Fairytale Wish, Silken and Havilah Kid collided on the first turn checking Fairytale Wish, Silken and Havilah Kid.  Mepunga Sparkle and Inga Mia collided entering the home straight.

Tanami Express crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Rhonda Lily, Full Moon Party and Fraser Hook.  Crackerjack Zave and Do Good Davlin collided on the first turn causing Room To Boom to race wide.  Fraser Hook checked off Rhonda Lily on the first turn checking Full Moon Party.  Tanami Express and Miss Tickle collided on the second turn.  Fraser Hook checked off Rhonda Lily on the third turn.  Full Moon Party galloped on Tanami Express approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Crackerjack Zave contacted the running rail approaching the home turn checking Rhonda Lily.
