The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Blazing Demon – Late scratching at 9:09am when Trainer J. Sharp reported the greyhound to have a toe injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Masked Avenger was quick to begin. Kayden's Tiger and Aston Profit collided soon after the start severely checking Aston Profit which stumbled. Starlight Amy brushed the running rail on the first turn. Starlight Amy and Aston Profit collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Profit. Aston Roxy raced wide in the home straight.

Piper's Unicorn underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer. Piper's Unicorn was found to have a spike wound to the left fore limb. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler Mrs Cindy Morrissey regarding the undue delay in boxing Ashlin Jem in this event and was given a reminder of responsibilities pursuant to GAR 51(9).

Sweet Harriet and Sammy McIvor were slow to begin. Too Far Bro, Flying Farrokh, Mr. Daver and Chebika Oasis collided on the first turn checking Too Far Bro and Mr. Daver. Kamari and Colourful Past collided entering the home straight. Flying Farrokh and Chebika Oasis collided in the home straight. Kamari and Too Far Bro collided approaching the winning post.

Cornhill Rebel and No Talking collided on the first turn checking No Talking. Take The Lead and Onya Nelly collided on the first turn checking Take The Lead. Take The Lead and Meehan Tommy collided approaching the second turn. Step Aside and No Talking collided approaching the second turn checking Step Aside. Take The Lead and Cornhill Rebel collided entering the home straight checking Cornhill Rebel which collided with No Talking. No Degree clipped the heels of Meehan Tommy in the home straight. Step Aside and No Talking collided in the home straight.

Mod Squad and Kenita collided approaching the first turn. Crazy Old Fool and Brylee collided on the first turn checking Brylee. McIvor Bluey and Atlantic Jewel collided on the first turn. Mod Squad and Kenita collided approaching the home turn checking Kenita.

Blast Zone and Double Tactic were slow to begin. Blast Zone and Double Tactic collided on the first turn. Neymar Junior and Blueberry Hill collided entering the back straight. Rezzie's Shout and Double Tactic collided on the second turn. Blast Zone and Neymar Junior collided on the home turn checking Blast Zone. Shanlyn Deano faltered on the home turn and tailed off.

Shanlyn Deano underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hock fracture and was humanely euthanased.

Aston Remi and Laughed A Lot collided approaching the home turn checking Aston Remi. Quinto Bale and Ride On collided entering the home straight and in the home straight. Sin Dinero lost ground approaching the winning post.

Sin Dinero underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right thigh and triangle muscles. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Helen's Memory was quick to begin. Don's Scolari and Legendary Lad collided approaching the first turn checking Legendary Lad. Good mate Rusty, Top Right and Tiggerlong Al collided on the first turn checking Tiggerlong Al which collided with Xaria Bale. Top Right and Good Mate Rusty collided approaching the home turn checking Good Mate Rusty.

Roll Your Eyes and Magnis Bale collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Typhoon Bolt, Slingshot Chas and Ieisha Bale collided on the first turn checking Slingshot Chas. Slingshot Chas lost ground approaching the winning post.

Slingshot Chas underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery and tachycardia. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Brian Hodgson, the trainer of Slingshot Chas regarding its performance approaching the winning post. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Slingshot Chas must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr. Hodgson to report as soon as practicable anything that may have
