Steward's Report
Get Real was slow to begin. Get Real checked off Our Girl Bailee on the first turn checking Darwin O'Connor. Our Girl Bailee checked off Get Real on the second turn. Jayla Strike and Our Girl Bailee collided on the home turn. Jayla Strike and Onya Nelly collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Darwin O'Connor underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms C. Wilson, the representative for Darwin O'Connor regarding its performance in the event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Darwin O'Connor must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards queried Trainer Mr Calven Russell in relation to the nominations and subsequent scratchings of My Name's George and Side Splitting in this event. After taking initial evidence from Mr Russell the inquiry has been adjourned to investigate the matter further.
