Steward's Report
Rev Up Axel and Sister Annie were slow to begin.
Pyrenees Pegasus and Iceni Hunter collided soon after the start, checking Iceni Hunter. Rev Up Axel and Pyrenees Pegagus collided approaching the home turn. Pyrenees Pegasus and Inga Zach collided entering the home straight. Moraine Chief visably eased and turned its head inwards approaching the winning post.
Moraine Chief underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg wrist injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr S Elsum regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Moraine Chief was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Elsum pleaded guilty to the charge, Moraine Chief was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
