Dark Pearl – Late scratching at 6.22am when trainer, Mr Julie Faulknall reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Winnie Osti was slow to begin.
I'm Stained and Stunning One collided soon after the start. Ray's Boy shifted out at the 200m and collided with I'm Stained. Brent's Delight checked off I'm Stained at the 75m mark. Winnie Osti checked off Brent's Delight at the 50m mark. Stunning One shifted out approaching the winning post and collided with Ray's Boy.
Winnie Ostie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
