Steward's Report
Gemma Rapid and Mt. View Jester were slow to begin.
Gemma Rapid and Mt. View Jester collided soon after the start. Gemma Rapid and Urana Vieri collided at the 250m mark. Gemma Rapid checked off Urana Vieri at the 200m mark. Yolanda and Lektra Little collided at the 100m mark. Gemma Rapid crossed to the outside at the 50m mark.
Gemma Rapid underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following Race 8. Gemma Rapid was found to have an injury to the left wrist and left shin soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Jeffrey Abela regarding the racing manners of Gemma Rapid approaching the 50m mark. After hearing evidence from Mr Abela, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the 50m mark.
