This event was manually started.
William Rose was quick to begin. Charango was slow to begin. William Rose and Just Burning collided on the first turn. Fraser Hook and Just Burning collided entering the back straight checking Fraser Hook and Charango severely checking Just Burning. Bella Edition brushed the running rail on the first turn. Zipping Samara and Charango collided on the first turn causing Zipping Samara to falter. Fraser Hook and Charango collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn.
Zipping Samara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race blood sample was taken from William Rose - the winner of the event.
