The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore facemasks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Marco was quick to begin. Dr. Bronte was slow to begin. Dr. Bronte and Haitham Bale collided approaching the first turn. Marco and Dr. Vivian collided on  the first turn. Dr. Bronte checked off Dr. Vivian on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Marco and Dr. Vivian collided on the home turn.

Dr. Vivian underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Judith McMahon regarding the racing manners of Dr. Vivian. After hearing evidence from Ms. McMahon, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight.

Dr. Danika and Tarlee were slow to begin.  Totally Balanced and Dr. Sadie collided soon after the start.  Dr. Sadie galloped on Totally Balanced on the first turn causing both greyhounds to contact the running rail checking Dr. Danika and Tarlee severely checking Dr. Sadie and Totally Balanced.  Totally Balanced marred Dr. Sadie on the home turn to entering the home straight.

Dr. Sadie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abraded paw pad/webbing to the right hind leg.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Totally Balanced underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have contusion/bruising to left fron and hind legs.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. James Harrington, the trainer of Totally Balanced regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn to entering the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69 (1) Totally Balanced was charged with marring.  Mr. Harrington pleaded guilty to the charge, Totally Balanced was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) (a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future  nomination will be accepted.

Rio Hustler and Baileys On Ice collided approaching the home turn.

Zipping Samara underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind back muscle injury.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
