Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Through The Dark was quick to begin.

Fashion Icon, Hank The Hustler and Cosmic Sparkle collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Fashion Icon and Debbie's Destiny collided approaching the third turn. Fashion Icon crossed to the outside entering the back straight and collided with Debbie's Destiny. Fashion Icon and Debbie's Destiny collided approaching the third turn. Fashion Icon raced wide on the third turn and collided with Debbie's Destiny.  

Fashion Icon underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs Marien Sullivan, the trainer of Fashion Icon regarding its performance on the third turn.  Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Fashion Icon must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Blistering Bro underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Mr. Mufasa checked off Valletta Sky approaching the first turn checking Vigorous and Meat Murphy.  Vigorous and Caveman Yap collided in the front straight.  Mr. Mufasa visibly eased entering the back straight.  Smooth Talker checked off Broadway Bullet entering the back straight.  Mr. Mufasa and Valletta Sky collided in the back straight.  Smooth Talker checked off Broadway Bullet approaching the home turn. Mr. Mufasa and Broadway Bullet collided approaching the home turn.  

Mr. Mufasa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both wrists and an abrasion to the left hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Daniel Webber regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mr. Mufasa was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Webber pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Mufasa was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tinker Craig and Legendary Lass were slow to begin.

Music Event and Who Back There collided soon after the start.  Sticker Stinger and Tinker Craig collided approaching the first turn.  Corazon De Leon and Music Event collided on the first turn.  Legendary Lass checked off Who Back There on the second turn.  Sticker Stinger checked off Corazon De Leon entering the home straight.  Sticker Stinger and Tinker Craig collided in the home straight.  

Weblec Haze, Demolition, Eight Ball, Sharni's My Girl and With Confidence collided on the first turn checking Weblec Haze, Eight Ball, severely checking Demolition and Holy Reign; causing Demolition to fall.  Weblec Haze checked off With Confidence entering the back straight.  

Demolition underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found injuries to the left wrist, right shin, an abrasion to the sternum and bruising to the upper lip.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Jay Bird was quick to begin.  Aston Titan, Delancy Bale and Eureka Icon were slow to begin.

Don't Argue Love and Aston Titan collided on the second turn.  Palace Lady and Lady Lagertha collided approaching the third turn checking Palace Lady.
