Steward's Report
Mr. Mufasa checked off Valletta Sky approaching the first turn checking Vigorous and Meat Murphy. Vigorous and Caveman Yap collided in the front straight. Mr. Mufasa visibly eased entering the back straight. Smooth Talker checked off Broadway Bullet entering the back straight. Mr. Mufasa and Valletta Sky collided in the back straight. Smooth Talker checked off Broadway Bullet approaching the home turn. Mr. Mufasa and Broadway Bullet collided approaching the home turn.
Mr. Mufasa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both wrists and an abrasion to the left hock, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Daniel Webber regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Mr. Mufasa was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Webber pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Mufasa was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
