Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Gardener's Boyo.
National Level and Stride For Pride were quick to begin.
Kissable, Resounding and Gardener's Boyo collided on the first turn checking all three greyhound which lost ground as a result.
Resounding underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Robert Chivell regarding the racing manners of Upright, in the home, straight. A warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ronald Gilliland, the trainer of Resounding regarding concerns with the greyhound’s performance. Mr Gilliland stated that the greyhound has some underlying injuries and may possibly retire the greyhound. In accordance with GAR 75 (1), the Stewards requested Mr Gilliland to report as soon as practicable anything that may have affected the running of Resounding in the event, which was not noted by Stewards during or immediately after the event.
Supplementary Report 03.11.2020:
Mr Gilliland reported to Stewards that upon examination today the greyhound Resounding presented no injury, however Mr Gilliand has now retired the greyhound from racing due to its underlying soundness issues..
