Lektra Taylor was quick to begin.
Victa Bale and Remo Belle collided soon after the start checking Victa Bale. Kifinti checked off Carryon Earning approaching the first turn. Lektra Taylor, Carryon Earning and Blaster collided on the first turn checking Carryon Earning. Blaster faltered on the first turn and tailed off.
Blaster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanised.
Stewards spoke to handler B.Simone regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Lektra Taylor. Stewards directed that Lektra Taylor be boxed first in future events.
