Southwood Duke was slow to begin.
Paddy Cambaz checked off Acola Magic approaching the first turn. Starbright crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking High Mission and Acola Magic. Acola Magic, Southwood Duke and Paddy Cambaz collided on the first turn checking Southwood Duke and Paddy Cambaz. Tayler's Special checked off Knocka Express approaching the home turn. High Mission checked off Red Fang approaching the home turn. Paddy Cambaz raced wide in the home straight. Acola Magic and Tayler's Special collided in the home straight. Tayler's Special galloped on the heels of Red Fang approaching the winning post.
Paddy Cambaz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind paw. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
