Shannon Vale, Special Jim, Uno Krystal, Cool Momento, Kirky Courtz and Lethal Three collided on the first turn checking Kirky Courtz, Special Jim and Shannon Vale and severely checking Lethal Three, Uno Krystal and Cool Momento, all three greyhounds lost considerable ground as a result.
Uno Krystal was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Cool Momento was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Lethal Three was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left forearm and a spike wound to the left hind paw. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. A. Barbara regarding the direction that the greyhound Cool Momento be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
A sample was taken from Miss Trinidad - winner of the event.
