Steward's Report
Frisky Den was slow to begin. Frisky Den was checked off Chase Man soon after the start. Sarah Beauty, Chase Man and Hurricane Sue collided soon after the start. Maybe Sienna, Chase Man and Odd Gem collided approaching the first turn. Maybe Sienna and Frisky Den collided on the first turn checking Frisky Den. Odd Gem turned its head and marred Sarah Beauty in the home straight checking Sarah Beauty.
Odd Gem underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds on the right hind foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Musselwhite the trainer of Odd Gem regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Odd Gem was charged with marring. Mr. Musselwhite pleaded not guilty to the charge, Odd Gem was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr. R. Coleman was issued with a warning regarding his use of a mobile phone whilst returning to the kennelling area following the running of the event in accordance with GAR 44.
