Steward's Report
Fenrir Greyback - Late scratching at 6.18am when Trainer - Mr I Cockerell reported the greyhound to have an illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative - Ms L Cockerell (representing Trainer - Mr I Cockerell) regarding the late withdrawal of Fenrir Greyback due to illness. Ms Cockerell informed the Stewards that the greyhound has been kennelled in a separate block from the other greyhounds engaged at today's race meeting which had not been affected by illness. Stewards noted Ms Cockerell's explanation, however, will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Just Cruising was quick to begin. Think Big Harry was very slow to begin (3L). Cornish Pixie was slow to begin. Indian Shadow and Blue Tycoon collided soon after the start. Indian Shadow and Pansy Parkinson collided approaching the first turn checking Pansy Parkinson. Pansy Parkinson and Cornish Pixie collided on the first turn checking Cornish Pixie. Indian Shadow and Just Cruising collided on the first turn. Think Big Harry and Pansy Parkinson collided in the back straight. Think Big Harry and Just Cruising collided on the home turn.
Stewards noted the muzzle on Blue Tycoon became dislodged during the running of the event.
