Lilly Lana and Black Rocks collided soon after the start.  Lonnie Loot and Deed's Delight collided soon after the start.  Lilly Lana and Black Rocks collided on the first turn.  Lonnie Loot, Deed's Delight and Bush Martini collided on the first turn checking Deed's Delight and Bush Martini.  Stepping checked off Mepunga Royal on the first turn.  Stepping and Deed's Delight collided entering the front straight.  Mepunga Royal and Lonnie Loot collided on the second turn.  Deed's Delight turned its head outwards and visibly eased on the second turn.

Deeds Delight underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries sustained to the deltoid muscle, chest muscle and triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Mr B Jones, regarding the racing manners of Deeds Delight on the second turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Deeds Delight was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr B Jones pleaded guilty to the charge.  Deeds Delight was found guilty as charged and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
