Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Solar Life.
Rosta Power was quick to begin. Further Dreamer was very slow to begin (3 lengths).
Aston Rose checked off Grease Lightning approaching the first turn. Further Dreamer visibly eased apporaching the home turn, raced wide and collided with Tashendo several times, severely checking Tashendo. Cairnlea Abby checked off Aston Rose in the home straight. Solar Life visibly eased in the home straight and again approaching the winning post checking Grease Lightning.
Further Dreamer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind nail injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer, Joe Uglietta, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Further Dreamer was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Uglietta pleaded guilty to the charge, Further Dreamer must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
