Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Zipping Vegas and Polite Reply were quick to begin.  Flying Soldier crossed out soon after the start checking Dinkydi Asset and Mighty Fabio.  Zipping Vegas was checked off Polite Reply on the first turn.  Flying Soldier visibly eased on the first turn.  Zipping Vegas was checked off Flying Soldier on the first turn.  Polite Reply, Flying Soldier and Zipping Vegas  collided on the first turn.  Ripplebrook Glen was checked off Zipping Vegas approaching the home turn.  Mighty Fabio was checked off Flying Soldier on the home turn.  Zipping Vegas and Flying Soldier collided entering the home straight.

Mighty Fabio underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was reported.

Polite Reply underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right shoulder muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to  Mr. P. Pollutro the representative for Polite Reply and issued a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.

Flying Soldier underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left deltoid muscle.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Erenshaw the trainer of Flying Soldier regarding the greyhound's performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71 Flying Soldier must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Delancy Bale underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right wrist.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Rum underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right achilles.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Gwen was quick to begin.  Aston Gwen, Whodat Opal, Muza's Angel, Kimani, and Smokin' CIndy collided soon after the start.  Muza's Angel and Kimani collided approaching the first turn. Knuckle Buster was slow to begin.  Jumping Breen visibly eased approaching the first turn.  Knuckle Buster, Select Charlie and Praise Me collided approaching the first turn severely checking Select Charlie and Praise Me.  Knuckle Buster and Yanderra Rip collided on the first turn.

Jumping Breen underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured right chest muscle.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative Mr. S. Healey regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Jumping Breen was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury)  Mr. Healey pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jumping Breen was found guilty and must perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Praise Me underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion on a left hind toe. No stand down period was imposed

Fran Keeping - New declared weight of 32.6 kgs, last raced 31.2 kgs.

Sole Elusion - Late scratching at 2.33pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Jeff Gorgioski was fined $100.
