Love A Collision - Late scratching at 4:57pm due to weight vatiation GAR 39. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr. Corey Fulford was fined $100.
Shell Star Keats went up with the lids at box rise. Callum's Capers was slow to begin. Ando's Toby checked off Somerton Rose approaching the first turn. Shannon's Entity marred Somerton Rose approaching the first turn. Low Blow checked off Somerton Rose on the first turn checking Low Blow and Shell Star Keats. Ando's Toby and Dr. Topaz collided on the first turn. Low Blow and Shannon's Entity collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Shannon's Entity and Dr. Topaz collided on the home turn.
Stewards spoke to Ms. Lyn Smith, the trainer of Shannon's Entity regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Shannon's Entity was charged with marring. Ms. Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Shannon's Entity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
