Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Waldorf.
Hold On and Harlequin Rose collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Waldorf, Indigo Indy and Grime Time Zeus collided on the first turn; checking Waldorf, Indigo Indy and Harlequin Rose. Isotope and Grime Time Zeus collided approaching the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Isotope and Grime Time Zeus collided on the second turn, checking Isotope. Harlequin Rose and My Bro Lucky collided on the second turn, checking both greyhounds. Grime Time Zeus visibly eased and turned its head outwards approaching the third turn. Grime Time Zeus checked off Moodswing Tarny on the third turn. Indigo Indy checked off Isotope entering the back straight. Isotope and Harlequin Rose collided approaching the home turn.
Grime Time Zeus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr G Mannion regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Grime Time Zeus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Mannion pleaded guilty to the charge, Grime Time Zeus must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
My Bro Lucky underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have an abrasion to the left hindleg toe. A three day stand down period was imposed.
