Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Harley Bale - Late scratching at 8:59 am when trainer, Ms S Grenfell reported the greyhound due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Cookie and Zipping Norman collided soon after the start.  Celtic Gypsy and Dr. Santiago collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Cookie crossed to the outside approaching the first turn.  Celtic Gypsy crossed to the outside on the first turn, check Dr. Santiago, Zipping Norman and Vintage Girl.  Celtic Gypsy and Dr. Santiago collided on the second turn.

Following the event Thursday Knight underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to collapsing in the catching pen.  The greyhound was found to have had a seizure.  A 10 day stand down penalty was imposed.  Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Thursday Knight must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant with GAR 72 and receive a veterinary clearance before any future nomination will be accepted.

Daph's Farrah and Zipping Trish were slow to begin.

Zipping Trish and Unlawful Lad collided soon after the start.  Jafar Bale and Son Of Fabio collided soon after the start.  Son Of Fabio, Daph's Farrah, Zipping Trish and Unlawful Lad collided approaching the first turn; checking Son Of Fabio and Zipping Trish.  Unlawful Lad and Daph's Farrah collided on the first turn.  Aston Chandra and Jafar Bale collided on the second turn and again entering the home straight.  Zipping Trish and Unlawful Lad collided approaching the winning post.

Grime Time Zeus underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr G Mannion regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Grime Time Zeus was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Mannion pleaded guilty to the charge, Grime Time Zeus must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

My Bro Lucky underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer's request and was found to have an abrasion to the left hindleg toe.  A three day stand down period was imposed.

Indian Shadow and Arizona Gold were slow to begin.
