Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Stewards issued a fine of $50 to handler Mr H.Goss after his tardiness in kennelling the greyhounds for today pursuant to GAR 31.

Aston Chandra - Late scratching at 13:51 on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma on the right hind toes. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Prince Of Idol and Sweet Petit were slow to begin.

Crumlin, Dipped In Honey and Prince Of Idol collided on the first turn checking Crumlin and Prince Of Idol. Dipped In Honey and That's Easy collided approaching the winning post.

McCooly's Lad and Light The Way were quick to begin.

Aston Remi went up with the lids and was slow to begin.

Dark Compass and Running Gear collided on the first turn. Light The Way and Dark Compass collided on the home turn.

War Drum Express, Mepunga Freda and Vintage Girl collided soon after the start.

Dash Of Reyne, Nevada Phil and Kenita collided soon after the start. Darra Onyx and Savannah Lee collided on the first turn. Savannah Lee and Lachie's Legacy collided on the second turn. Dash Of Reyne and Nevada Phil collided on the second turn. Dash Of Reyne and Star Blazer collided on the home turn. Nevada Phil turned it's head outwards and visibly eased in the home straight.

Nevada Phil underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have thumps. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Garland, the trainer of Nevada Phil regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Nevada Phil was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Garland pleaded guilty to the charge, Nevada Phil is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Balance and Unrivalled Dusty collided on the first turn. Just A Giggle and Charlie Checker collided in the back straight. Unrivalled Dusty and Graphic Design collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Valetta Sky and Akoya collided on the second turn. Balance and Moonie Convoy collided in the home straight.

Tiggerlong Al underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have minor marks and spike wounds to the left elbow, left stifle and left hind paw. No stand down period was imposed.
