Brazen Crow was quick to begin. Devil's Disguise was slow to begin.
Groundbreaking and Gotcha Laz collided soon after the start. Sadie Bale, Groundbreaking, Gotcha Laz and Devil's Disguise collided soon after the start; checking Groundbreaking and Gotcha Laz. Gotcha Laz and Devil's Disguise collided on the home turn, checking Devil's Disguise.
A post-race sample was taken from Sadie Bale - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr J Guy, trainer of Brazen Crow regarding the greyhound initially being placed in the incorrect box (2) before this was recitified to the correct box (3). Acting under GAR 86(0) Stewards charged Mr Guy after he was negligent in placing Brazen Crow in the incorrect box before being rectified. Mr Guy pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $200. Stewards also spoke to the starter and advised him to be more diligent when the greyhounds are under his orders.
