Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Debut Knight.
Cairnlea Abby visibly eased approaching the first turn. Devil's Cartel, Debut Knight, Lana's Image, Bad Bailey and Dust Up collided on the first turn checking Dust Up and Bad Bailey.
Cairnlea Abby underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg quadriceps muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Ray Gatt, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Cairnlea Abby was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Gatt pleaded guilty to the charge, Cairnlea Abby must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
