Steward's Report
Regal Missile was slow to begin. Darra Onyx checked off East Street on the first turn and again on the second turn. Rafael Fever marred Divine Dixie on the home turn and again entering the home straight.
Rafael Fever underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected right hock fracture and right triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Dixie Divine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle and right hamstrings. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Mighty Marvin, winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Crisafi, the trainer of Rafael Fever regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Rafael Fever was charged with marring. Mr. Crisafi pleaded guilty to the charge, Rafael Fever is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
