Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance withGAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to andcontinue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 &6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

Irina Bale was quick to begin.

Nella Ruslie and Bella Tash collided soon after the start. Bella Tash contacted the running rail on the first turn. Irina Bale, Cool Limit, Nella Ruslie and Patriot Tubman collided on the first turn. Cool Limit checked off Irina Bale on the home turn checking Bella Tash. Nella Ruslie and Patriot Tubman collided entering the straight. Cool Limit and Bella Tash collided entering the home straight.

Bella Tash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was found.

Javier Bale and Max's Idol were slow to begin. Javier Bale brushed the running rail on the home turn.

Regal Missile was slow to begin. Darra Onyx checked off East Street on the first turn and again on the second turn. Rafael Fever marred Divine Dixie on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Rafael Fever underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a suspected right hock fracture and right triangle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Dixie Divine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left back muscle and right hamstrings. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Mighty Marvin, winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Crisafi, the trainer of Rafael Fever regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Rafael Fever was charged with marring. Mr. Crisafi pleaded guilty to the charge, Rafael Fever is suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Aston Thunder checked off Clean Slate soon after the start. Broken Drum and Fernando Bluey collided on the first turn. Clean Slate and Kraken Jess collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Brylee and Canya Go Wild collided approaching the winning post.

Paint Peeler was slow to begin. My Dewana Penny and Dani Thrills collided on the first turn. My Dewana Penny checked off Impending on the first turn. Kraken Doll and Paint Peeler collided in the home straight.

Gardener's Boyo was slow to begin. Dewana Jayden, Caveman Yap and Step Aside collided on the second turn.

Eye Catcher and Swift Current collided on the first turn checking Swift Current which collided with Gotham Duke.

Ballistic Bullet and McIvor Stretch were slow to begin.

Dirty Max checked off Hazy Rose on the first turn. American Missile raced wide entering the home straight.

Dundas Houdini – Late scratching at 8:34am when Mr. E. Keene reported the greyhound to have an illness] (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Meehan Poppy and Chiseller collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Sprite Halo and Red Hot Chevy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Sprite Halo and Helen's Mate collided on the home turn. Meehan Poppy and Red Hot Chevy collided in the home straight checking Red Hot Chevy.

Kraken Jonny and Quicker Than Joe collided on the home turn. Kraken Jonny and Jetta's Shout collided in the home straight.
