Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

About Bob, Midnight Pompeii and Pan Edition were quick to begin.  Mt. View Dusty was slow to begin and stumbled at box rise.

Zipping Elsa, Bit Of Pepper and Finding Gobi collided soon after the start.  Midnight Pompeii galloped on Pan Edition on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Tricky Man galloped on Finding Gobi approaching the home turn checking Tricky Man.  About Bob and Pan Edition raced wide on the home turn.  Finding Gobi raced wide entering the home straight causing About Bob and Finding Gobi to collided severely times in the home straight.  Pan Edition raced wide in the home straight.

Finding Gobi underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Miss Olivia Cartechini, the representative of Finding Gobi and issued a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.

Livvy's Princess and Mt. View Dodger were slow to begin.

Beautiful Bounty, Livvy's Princess and Art Prize collided soon after the start.  Billy Tirch, Big Bash Army and Nova Cascade collided soon after the start checking Big Bash Army.  Art Prize and Big Bash Army collided approaching the first turn.  Galloping Albi and Billy Tirch collided on the first turn checking Galloping Albi.  Billy Tirch galloped on Nova Cascade on the first turn checking Beautiful Bounty, Big Bash Army, Nova Cascade, Mt. View Dodger, severely checking Livvy's Princess and Billy Tirch, Beautiful Bounty, Big Bash Army and Mt. View Dodger all raced wide as a result.  Art Prize galloped on Galloping Albi approaching the home turn checking Livvy's Princess and Art Prize.  Beautiful Bounty and Mt. View Dodger collided approaching the winning post.

More Effort, Slingshot Spirit and Maverick Bob collided on the first turn checking More Effort and Maverick Bob.  Over Talking checked off Maverick Bob on the home turn.  Walk Me Home raced wide in the home straight.

Ovens Angler and Poppo's Grinning collided soon after the start.  Ovens Angler and Big Jo collided approching the first turn.  Poppo's Grinning checked off Ovens Angler approaching the first turn.  Ovens Angler and Gamma Bale collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn.  Big Jo and End Game collided on the first turn.  Poppo's Grinning faltered entering the back straight and lost ground.  Break The Chains and Ovens Angler collided in the home straight.  

Poppo's Grinning underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Trevor Whitford, regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the back straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Poppo's Grinning was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Whitford pleaded guilty to the charge, Poppo's Grinning must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Fourth Dimention and Zipping Kingston collided approaching the first turn checking Fourth Dimention.  Fourth Dimention galloped on Kismet Storm on the first turn checking Lethal Hawk, Accused, Fourth Dimention and Chelsea's Love, Chelsea's Love raced wide as a result.  Bees And Honey checked off Zipping Kingston entering the back straight.  

Trainer Mr David Kerr requested that Lethal Hawk undergo a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind toe injury and spike wound.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

In accordance with LR 22 the representative of Miss Demonica Mr Mark Giddings was issued with a warning regarding his non-compliance with the GRV Dress Code.
